Route number 501
Bus Operator - First Bus Dorset
From late May there is an open-top bus service between Weymouth and Portland Bill. This bus, numbered 501, runs every two hours during the quieter season and every hour during the school
summer holidays. The service starts and finishes in Lodmoor Country Park, but also picks up (stop K5) and sets down at the Kings Statue. The service usually finishes for the winter.
The bus travels via Portland Castle where cruise passengers arriving in Portland Port can board/alight.
English bus-pass holders can travel on this service without charge. (from the First Bus Dorset Area website)
You can download the Jurassic Coaster app from the Apple or Android stores before you travel for a visual and audio commentary. It's a pity the audio is a digital voice and not a human one!
