If your journey is delayed for any reason, it would be appreciated if you could write to Customer Services at Great Western Railway. Attached is an example of a Compensation for delays form, which is valid from September 2015 and information and on how to make a claim. When a claim is made, it is ncessary to enclose your tickets as without them they will be unable to process the claim. This form is for guidance only.

It is not necessary to use one of these forms and a letter can be written instead.

Which ever way you decide to proceed with the claim, please do not forget to send your tickets, as Great Western Railway will be unable to process the claim without them. If going through a station with a ticket barrier which swallow the tickets up, please speak to station staff who will be able to let you through and keep the ticket
