Joining the ramblers

The aim of Wessex Wanderer Railway walks is to provide a series of walks throughout the summer season, and this is possible with the hard work of our volunteer leaders and those who give us continued support over the year.  We also promote the use of public transport, espcially the Bristol to Weymouth railway line and buses where more appropriate.

Many Ramblers groups provide walks throughout the year in Avon, Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire, as well as many other areas and groups throughout the country.

If you are not currrently a member and have enjoyed our walks and would like to continue walking throughout the rest of the year and support the aims of the Ramblers.  The Heart of Walking booklet (printed September 2012) provides all you need know about the aims of the Ramblers.

On joining you will be assigned to a group based on your postcode but you can join any group that you wish by nominating a group.

With walks finder if you are on holiday in an area you can also join any other group for a walk and use the following link

http://www.ramblers.org.uk/go-walking.aspx

You will need to put in a postcode of where you are wanting to walk and following the instructions

There are various levels of membership and this is stated on the membership form which runs until 30th April 2017 and this will be updated on a regular basis.
