Winter get together 2017

Wednesday 11th January 2017

Wessex Wanderers Railway Walks

Winter Get together

At the Railway Inn  - Westbury

This years winter get together started off on the arrival of the 09.49 train from Bristol Temple Meads at 10.39 or the Weymouth train 08.53 arriving at 10.24 - the walk was attended by around 25 people and we walked until about 1 pm, going over towards Dilton Marsh (which is a request stop on the Westbury to Portsmouth Harbour line) - we were extremely lucky with the weather asit was dry and sunny and not too muddy underfoot

The meal started at 13.30 and was attended by 35 people, some people just joined us for the lunch and this was a choice of etiher beef or vegetarian celebration roast, with plenty of vegetables.  The dessert was apple crumble and custard.  Table layout was in a horse shoe shape and in a separate area at the back of the pub

Thanks to those who came on the event and I hope that this was enjoyed by all and attached below are a few photgraphs of the day and if anyone who came and enjoyed the day then please use tripadvisor.

Thanks goes to Theresa and her staffed who worked extremely hard to make the mela a success.

Thanks to those who have supported the event over the years and good luck to anyone who decides to take it over in the future
