This is an attempt to provide a list of places that we have visited before, during or after our walks.  Please be aware that the management of these places can and do change on a regular basis, so therefore standards can and do vary and whether a place is good, is open to interpretation by the individuals concerned.  These places will have thier usual busy and quiet periods.  Some of  these places have been added for interested and not necessarily tried and tested - but the links to the websites are for information.

The links will be checked on a regular basis, and if you are intending to visit one of these places, please check beforehand to see whether they are still open.  Not all places have their own websites, and for example are through trip advisor etc, and some have comments, the webmaster is not responsible for the reviews but if you do go somewhere and feel a review is applicable then please add to it.

This is an attempt to help support the local economy of the places that we visit, by providing links and if you have enjoyed your visit to one of these places whilst on a Wessex Wanderer Railway Walk, it is hoped that you may well visit there independently on a separate occassion.

With a lot of local places there is the saying "use it or lose it" and this is certainly true these days, even if it is for just a cup of tea, it is putting money back into the local economy, supporting local people and business thus they will be theer for your next visit or for other people to enjoy.

NB The pictures are added for effect and not all are related to any of the places advertised
